All through Lent you can get excellent meals at churches around the Metro area (and the country). Offered as fundraisers, meals generally come with generous sides and good company. Takeout usually available. No religious affiliation required.

St. Francis of Assisi, 4500 Wesson at Buchanan.
St. Thomas Aquinas, Ford at Evergreen. Fridays from 5-7 pm. Fish, shrimp, macaroni & cheese, salad, dessert, roll, beverage. $7.00/$5.00 kids.
Sweetest Heart of Mary, 4440 Russell, Russell at Canfield. 3PM - 8PM every Friday during Lent. Dinners from $9 (shrimp) to $6 (salad bar). Cod dinner $7.50. Also perogi dinner! French fries or macaroni & cheese, coleslaw, bread, coffee.
